I don’t know what happened in July, but the numbers are pretty amazing! Since it’s Summer and with a few major sporting events going on (one ended July 11th, the World Cup in football), I figured that people would either watch TV or be away on vacation – not read blogs. But for some reason, July turned out to be a very good month for me – with double visits and double-double income compared to the previous few months.

Take a look at the numbers below…

Conclusion: July ’10

You’re probably curious about the $475 income, right? Well, I was lucky that Ebuzzing had a great opportunity for me in July, bringing in €60 (if you’re a blogger, click here to check out Ebuzzing).

Sponsored Reviews also had a very good month for me. I was quite busy in July (as usual…) so I kept raising my price in Sponsored Reviews to get less offers but the offers just kept coming, I suppose that’s a good thing :) I accepted the offers that I felt I could write about and which I felt was relevant enough to publish on my blog, without the fear of annoying my regular readers (too much). You can never make everybody happy and you’ll always lose readers when you monetize your blog. Too bad – for them. Bloggers need to be able to earn some money and make a potential living from their blogging and if some readers doesn’t think that’s fair, they can find other places to read, am I right? :)

The biggest income this month was “direct ad sales” at $175, which covers money I’ve made directly by either contacting advertisers or having them contact me. This can be banner ads, links, reviews etc.

Top 5 Most Viewed Posts: July

In this list, I used to feature top 5 most viewed posts in the previous month – also published in the previous month. I don’t think that it’s fair to posts that was published maybe on the 29th as it would not have had as much time to generate views as posts from the 3rd of July. So from now on, I’ll feature simply top 5 most viewed posts in the previous month – no matter when they were published.
